Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari and Camino are just some of the browsers in use today to explore the world wide web.
Sometimes however, they are known to behave badly, that is, they interpret the language that tells them how to display text, images and video in slightly different ways.
As a result, the way your website appears on each browser may differ, sometimes in small insignificant ways, but sometimes in ways that could render your website unviewable, possibly losing you valuable visitors.
This is why we test your website thoroughly during the entire development process, to ensure that visitors will not be left with a disappointing experience, and that as far as possible, there is consistency in the way your website appears across the internet.
We ensure that your website appears and functions as it should on the latest browsers, and in some cases (such as Internet Explorer), on earlier versions too. This means not only testing browsers on the Windows operating system, but other operating systems such as Mac OSX, to ensure that we can confidently publish a live website, knowing that the visitors to it will have an enjoyable experience, and perhaps more importantly, come back for more.
In addition, we also test your website to ensure it complies with the standard set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) using their ‘validation’ service. When complete, this assures that your website has been constructed to an industry recognised standard.
Test the build quality of your website using the W3C validation service, and see if it meets industry standards simply by inserting your website address (starting with www.), in the ‘Address:’ box. If it doesn’t pass, talk to us to see how we can help to ensure it does.
